From June 6-8, 2025, the annual international friendly football match between young people with intellectual disabilities from Bulgaria and Macedonia was held in Kyustendil, Bulgaria.
FK Karposhovo, supported by FFM and the UEFA Foundation for Children, and as part of the "FOOTBALL FOR ALL" project, traveled to the event with 12 athletes, a coach, and 2 experts. The goal of FFM, through the "FOOTBALL FOR ALL" project, is to enable people with intellectual disabilities to play football and improve their quality of life.
This event is part of the sports calendar of FAPA Bulgaria and is an important element of sustainable international partnerships in the field of adapted sports.
The competition was held for the first time in the city of Kyustendil, with the assistance of the local SK Adaptirani Sportsove – Kyustendil, which develops sports for children and youth with intellectual disabilities.
Football has proven once again that it is much more than a game, it is a language of trust, respect and cooperation.
