Following the end of their European adventure, Škendija’s footballers are fully focused on their domestic commitments. After winning their first two matches and recording an impressive 5:0 goal difference, the team’s sole objective is to reclaim the championship crown.
Brazilian midfielder Rafael Freitas believes that Škendija must maintain the high level of play from the European stage in the domestic championship as well.
„Without a doubt, we have the quality to maintain this level. We put in excellent performances in Europe and have everything needed to continue playing the same good football throughout the entire season. A lot of very tough and evenly matched games await us, but we must show the team’s strength, improve from match to match and maintain the European rhythm in order to achieve all our objectives,“ said Freitas.
In the third round, Škendija face a challenge named Bregalnica.
„Every match is important, but when you wear the Škendija shirt, the responsibility is even greater because we know the stature of this club. This is a team with a championship mentality, with all of us aiming for victory. That is our mission this year – to return the title to where it belongs,“ the Brazilian concluded.
The Škendija–Bregalnica duel will be played on Sunday at the FFM complex, kicking off at 19:00.
