The footballers ended their participation in the development tournament with a defeat

Macedonia's women's under-16 national team were defeated 2:1 by Kosovo in the final round of the UEFA development tournament held in Strumica.

After the first half ended goalless, Olsa Kuçi gave the visitors a 1:0 lead in the 58th minute at the start of the second half.

In the 79th minute, Leona Maloku increased the lead to 2:0, while in the final minute of the match, Elena Naumoska scored Macedonia's only goal.

Coach Katerina Mileska's players recorded one win and one defeat in their three matches in Strumica, while they lost one match on penalties after the score was level at the end of 90 minutes.

Macedonia finished third in the tournament, behind Kosovo and Andorra and ahead of San Marino.

The tournament in Strumica was an excellent opportunity for Mileska to select the new generation of female footballers who should soon enter UEFA's competitive system.
