The Macedonian U-19 futsal team completed its participation in the qualifying tournament in Gibraltar with a victory.

The Macedonian U19 futsal team today concluded its participation in the qualifying tournament for the elite phase of the European Championship qualifiers with a victory.

Coach Zoran Lekic's team managed to celebrate a 4:2 victory over the tournament host, the Gibraltar national team, in an interesting match.

The opponent was the first to open the score, thanks to a goal by El Yetefti. Macedonia tied the score at 1:1, scored by Janev. Macedonia made a complete turnaround through Anchevski. Blazhevski increased the lead to 3:1, and the fourth goal for Macedonia was scored by Chajani.

Gibraltar only managed to reduce the score by the end of the match. The final score was set by Marache.

Macedonia and Gibraltar played an open match with many scoring opportunities. Macedonia had 26 attempts, 8 of them on target, while on the other side Gibraltar had 37 attempts to score.

After playing all matches in Group B of the tournament, the Montenegrin national team won first place, with maximum performance, Macedonia finished in second position, and Gibraltar finished the cycle without winning a point.

The Montenegro national team continues into the next phase of the European Championship qualifiers.
