The Football Federation of Macedonia, in cooperation with FUSM (Federation of School Sports in Macedonia), has begun implementing the school football project across several primary schools in Macedonia.
The "Football in Schools" project involves all children from participating schools who wish to practice football, but do not have the appropriate conditions.
The school football project envisages the active involvement of 76 primary schools from all over Macedonia, with the participation of nearly 5,000 children from second to fifth grade, among whom at least 1,000 are girls.
The goal of this school project of the Football Federation of Macedonia in cooperation with FSUM is direct involvement and engagement of the youngest, their personal development, as well as respect for basic values in life. One of the important things emphasized in the school football project is the development of women's youth football, and of course to attract the involved children to continue training football on a regular basis in football clubs.
On that occasion, a seminar was held at the Romantic Hotel in Veles on the topic: Football in a Girls' School. The project is led and organized by the Football Federation of Macedonia in cooperation with the School Sports Federation of Macedonia.
The project includes 24 primary schools, a total of 450 girls from 4/5 grades and coaches from women's football clubs in the country. The seminar was attended by FZO teachers and coaches from the clubs. The opening address was given by Lazar Rakidziev, Vice-President of FFM and Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Tufekchievski, President of FUSM. The lecturers at the seminar were Bojan Markovski, a representative of FFM, and Prof. Zoran Nakov from FUSM, responsible for the implementation of the project. All schools involved in the project were awarded a total of 150 footballs from FFM.
In addition to this project intended for girls, on March 4th, a workshop was held at the FFM premises, within which the program of activities for the development of school football in thirty cities in the country was promoted.
