The Macedonian U21 national team is entering a new challenge in the 2027 European Championship qualifiers with two tough away games. On March 26 in Empoli, Goran Stanić's team will face Italy, and five days later, on March 31, they will visit Armenia in Yerevan.
Our selection has already begun preparations, with a partially rejuvenated squad and a clear goal, more competitive editions and a positive result.
„"We have two extremely difficult away games ahead of us, but that is the reality of this qualifying cycle. We have made some changes and rejuvenated the team with players who will be the mainstays in the next cycle, but also with players who I believe can already meet the demands.".
"It will be crucial to play in a disciplined, responsible and combative manner. We must minimize the individual mistakes that have cost us so far and get the most out of both matches. I expect a bold approach, without overestimating or underestimating the opponent, with a focus on our game," said coach Stanić.
In the group of qualifiers for Euro 2027, the Macedonian national team recorded a home victory against Armenia (2:1) in six matches. We lost against Italy, in Bitola, 0:1.
