The Bashkimi team managed to end its scoring drought last week, but that was not enough to avoid a 1-2 defeat against Shkendija Arachinovo in Kumanovo. This further prompted the Kumanovo club’s leaders to seek new attacking reinforcements.
A few days ago, the final reinforcements of the summer transfer window were also presented – Antonio Da Silva Sanka Rashid, who can play as a winger and centre-forward, as well as Elias Ganim, who plays as a traditional winger.
The first test for the reinforcements will be the Skopje team.
„Matches against Skopje away from home are always very difficult. Skopje are returning to their own stadium and an extremely physical duel awaits us. Nevertheless, we will fight for every ball and hope to return home with points,“ said Bashkimi centre-back Fati Ismaili.
The two teams have met a total of six times so far – four times in the Second League, once in the Macedonia Cup and once in a friendly match. FK Skopje have been more successful in these encounters, with three wins, while FK Bashkimi are still waiting for their first victory. Three matches have ended in draws.
The match between FK Skopje and FK Bashkimi will be played at the FFM stadium at 16:30, with Furkan Idrizi appointed as the referee.
