The women's national football team under 19 triumphantly opened its performance in the European Championship qualifiers.
At the start of the tournament being played in Strumica, Georgia was defeated 3:0.
"Given the fact that this was our first match in the tournament, we had a hard time getting into it, but as time went on we managed to impose our own game and the girls fulfilled what was previously agreed upon and in the end we deservedly achieved victory," said head coach Kiril Izov.
There is not much time for our hopes to rest. On Friday, the Izov team will face a new challenge and face Azerbaijan.
"Our goal in this tournament is to win first place, which means that we are going for victory in every match. After the match with Georgia, we now have the match against Azerbaijan. Although our next opponent has the status of an outsider, it must be emphasized that there are no easy matches in modern football. Each opponent has its own weight and quality. We have enough time to analyze Azerbaijan's game and I believe that on Friday we will be happy with a victory again," the national team leader emphasized.
The match with Azerbaijan starts at 12:00 on Friday and will be played at the Mladost Stadium in Strumica.
