Kapinkovski: This generation has the potential for good results

The Macedonian U-18 national team has been on mini-preparations in Strumica for the past few days, where they played two friendly matches against the Montenegrin national team.

The team led by coach Dimitar Kapinkovski recorded 2:1 victories in both matches and announced that next year we can expect good news from the qualifying tournament for the continental championship.

"We used these matches to warm up the team because next year we are not expecting to qualify for the European Championship. For the matches against Montenegro, I counted on 25 players and everyone got a chance, which for me and the coaching staff was a great opportunity to see what potential we have and what we need to pay special attention to so that we can make progress in the next matches," said coach Dimitar Kapinkovski.

The leader of the national team is satisfied with the players' engagement during the training sessions in Strumica, and this is confirmed by the two victories recorded in the matches played on the field of the Goran Pandev complex.

"All the players made the most of the opportunity to train together in these few days. I am satisfied with their dedication to training, but also their commitment on the field, as well as the fulfillment of all the tasks they were given before the start of the matches. I believe that this generation has great potential, and if they continue to work with this intensity in the future, but also with the support of the clubs, good results can be expected," continued the leader of the national team under 18.

This generation faces a strong qualifying tournament at the beginning of next year, which will be a great challenge for this talented generation.

"We are fully focused on the qualifiers that will be held in March next year. In addition to the host Netherlands, our opponents are the Faroe Islands and Moldova. Before the tournament, we will try to organize another meeting and play another test match, which will serve as a better preparation for the main challenge that awaits us in March," concluded Kapinkovski.
