Macedonia recorded a narrow victory over Kazakhstan in the World Cup qualifiers

The Macedonian national football team recorded a minimal, but very significant victory on the away field against the difficult selection of Kazakhstan within the fourth round of the World Cup qualification. The chosen ones of the coach Blagoja Milevski celebrated with a score of 1:0 in an exciting and interesting match until the very end.

Both teams started the match quite offensively, but without any serious threats after the two goals. Macedonia threatened through Elmas and Čurlinov, but the home goalkeeper was up to the task.

In the 33rd minute, Macedonia took the lead 1:0. Aleksandar Trajkovski scored the goal, sending a great shot to the ground and beating the Kazakhstan goalkeeper.

In the second half, the Kazakhstan team was the one that had the initiative and created chances, but our defense was excellent in this match, not allowing the opponent to score. 

The Macedonian national team, after four matches, is at the top of the table in the qualifying group for the World Cup (WC) to be played in 2026 in the United States, Canada and Mexico. 

The World Cup qualifiers continue in September. On September 7, Macedonia hosts Liechtenstein. On September 10, we host the Belgium national team in Brussels.
