Macedonia U18 lost to Bulgaria in the first control match in Strumica

The Macedonian U-18 national team lost 1:2 to their Bulgarian peers in a friendly match played in Strumica. Our team had a 1:0 lead at half-time, but the opponent took advantage of their two chances in overtime and were happy with the victory.

In the 17th minute, Macedonia secured the lead with a goal by Flori Ilazi. Roci started the action, then Hoxha headed the ball, and Ilazi put the rebound into the goal.

After an hour of play, Bulgaria tied the score at 1:1. After a corner kick for the opponent, we reacted poorly in defense, and the goal was scored by Dimitar Mrankov. In the 73rd minute, we were again not sufficiently concentrated in defense and again after a rebound we allowed the opponent to score a shot for a 2:1 lead. Martin Pejchev was the scorer of the second goal for Bulgaria. Until the end of the match, Dimitar Kapinkovski's team had several attempts to equalize, but without result.
