After starting the spring half-season with a convincing victory over Rabotnicki, Pelister from Bitola goes to Kumanovo to face Bashkimi.
Coach Milan Stojanoski came to the "green" bench in the middle of the autumn season, but he still knows that the new first league team celebrated in Bitola with a score of 2:1.
“There are no different matches for us, I think we can play with any team and outplay them, but of course that does not mean less respect for those at the top of the table. Bashkimi is a team that I see as the same rank as us, so I often repeat that the one who wants the victory more can make a difference. They won in Bitola last fall and at the opening of the spring season they had a solid performance in Kratovo, where they played 0:0 with Sileks. Although the pitch was disastrous, they showed that they are a solid team and we will not underestimate them.”
Bashkimi currently has 23 points and is the fifth club with the fewest losses in the PMFL so far this season after the top four. Pelister enters this match with the desire to enrich its points balance, as the 19 points won so far place it in tenth place, four positions behind Bashkimi, so the fight for survival continues.
“"We analyzed the opponent well, we know what their strengths are that we need to neutralize, as well as which positions we need to be superior in if we want to create problems for them. But a lot will also depend on their approach, how much they will allow us to play what we want, and I would not rule out the weather conditions that may appear as a factor in this part of the year. But it will be the same for both clubs, so I will demand full respect from my players and show that they want to triumph," concluded Stojanoski.
In their history, these two clubs have played seven matches in the PMFL, with Bashkimi winning three, compared to one draw and three wins for Pelister. The Bitola team has been more successful in the duels when they played against Bashkimi in the Second League, winning twice in the same number of matches.
