Shkendija completed the opening round of the new season in the First Macedonian Football League with a 3-0 victory over FC Skopje. The scorers for the Tetovo side were Fad Nzengue, Fabrice Tamba and Rafa Silva.
Shkendija coach Artim Polozhani says he is satisfied with the triumph, but not with the tempo at which his team played the match.
„I am satisfied with the result, but not with the performance. We have to play at a higher tempo. I am aware that this is the first round of the domestic championship, but when we go out into Europe, we will then face completely different challenges. FC Skopje defended well for most of the match; the most important thing from this game is, of course, the three points,“ said Artim Polozhani.
FC Skopje’s new coach, Muarem Muarem, pointed out that his team still needs to complete its squad and prepare for the challenges in the First League.
„We knew what kind of opponent we would be playing against and tried to match them. We made mistakes that Shkendija knew how to exploit. We will try to complete our squad and prepare for the upcoming matches in the First League,“ said Muarem Muarem.
