After an excellent performance in the 24th round, despite the narrow 2-3 defeat to Bashkimi, Shkupi’s players have regained their confidence and are looking ahead with optimism to their next objective – their first win of the season. Asan Rifadov believes that the team is mentally prepared for the upcoming away match against Sileks in Kratovo and promises a fight until the last breath.
„I want to say that it does not matter whether we play with youth players or experienced players, Shkupi always goes into every match looking to compete, we are not afraid of anyone. We are here to defend the club’s colours until the last match and until the last breath. I expect a fair and correct game from both sides, and we will fight for a positive result,“ Rifadov stated.
The hosts Sileks enter this clash in evident crisis, having failed to win any of their last four matches—two defeats and two draws. Nevertheless, the historical record and tradition are on the side of the Kratovo team, who have 18 wins compared to Shkupi’s 12, while 11 matches have ended in draws.
The last match in Kratovo, played on 10 November, ended in a resounding 5-1 victory for the hosts, while today’s match between Sileks and Shkupi begins at 15:30.
