Pelister will play in front of their home supporters in the final, 33rd round and will try to improve their chances in the battle for survival.
The only rival of Bitola’s „green-and-whites“ is AP Brera, with whom they have alternated between eighth and ninth place in the table in recent rounds, which is important in determining who will face whom in the relegation playoff. On paper, AP Brera are playing against bottom-placed Shkupi and have a relatively easier task in securing three points, while Pelister host Bashkimi.
“Another difficult match for us, as every previous one has been, with a great psychological burden. Bashkimi are a team made up of experienced footballers who have played for several top-flight teams. Last year, they earned promotion to the PMFL and managed to finish above several teams with a long top-flight tradition. We still have not secured survival and must continue in a disciplined manner in the upcoming matches, both against Bashkimi and in the playoff that awaits us,“ says coach Marjan Sekulovski.
Marjan Ristovski – Shvajc is more direct, hoping for a positive atmosphere ahead of the playoff, with one goal: for our supporters to cheer them on in the PMFL next year as well.
“The final match of the championship. We are going for a win and three points, so that we can enter the playoff positively, with positive thoughts. For Bitola to watch top-flight football again next year,“ says Ristovski.
Bashkimi won both encounters this year – first in Bitola by 1:2, and then at home by 1:0. Previously, Pelister had won both of their head-to-head matches in the VMFL in the 23/24 season.
The match kicks off at 16:30 at the „Petar Miloshevski“ Stadium.
