Shkupi is still looking for its first win this season, and today it will face the current leader in the First Macedonian Football League, the team of Vardar. The positions in the table are diametrically opposed, Vardar holds the lead while Shkupi is at the bottom.
According to the vice-captain of FC Shkupi, Erion Shuku, this is a match of enormous importance, not only because of the points needed, but also because of the tradition and pride of the city derby.
"This is a match with great weight for us, not only for points, but also for pride. The team gave their maximum in training; we worked hard, with discipline and determination, and that will be evident on the field. Vardar enters this match with a good position in the table, but that does not scare us. We never give up, we play with heart as a team and with a clear plan to achieve the result we want," said vice-captain Erion Shuku.
The first match of this season ended with a 4-2 victory for Vardar. Today's match from the 15th round, Vardar - Shkupi, will be played on the field of the Petar Miloshevski training center, starting at 1:00 PM.
