After the (un)expected defeat to Bashkimi in Kumanovo, the Sileks team doesn't have much time for analysis and mourning. They need to immediately "set up" for the next first league challenge, which is tomorrow's match against Struga TL.
The two-time PMFL champion is a challenge for the Kratovo team, and an interesting duel is expected in Kratovo, because both teams have shown in the first six rounds that they will claim to win the championship title this season. Sileks believe that they will forget the defeat from Kumanovo, and that they will manage to triumph in today's duel.
That is also expected by Miguel Pires, the Portuguese international who has had an excellent debut in the PMFL, with four goals scored in the first six rounds, although he plays as a midfielder.
"I believe it will be an even match, in which both teams will go in to win. In my opinion, the team that makes fewer mistakes will take the three points," said Miguel Pires, the midfielder for Sileks, who had a great start in the First Macedonian Football League.
"I don't know much about our opponent, the Struga team, since this is something new for me. But I watched the match with Shkendija, and I think they play quite intense football, and they have very good individuals," added Pires.
Sileks' new signing says that the championship in Macedonia is quite interesting, and that the league is progressing, especially with the introduction of the VAR system.
"The league is interesting, and this is a championship that is progressing. There are teams with great tradition, and teams that are improving. I came to Sileks with one goal - to win the title. Last season, I know that my current team was close, that it was fighting to become champion until the end of the championship," said Pires.
The Portuguese stressed that the failure of the previous round must be quickly forgotten, and that we must now think about Struga.
"We didn't expect the defeat against Bashkimi, but that's part of football. We have to look forward and go from match to match, because the team that loses the fewest points will become the champion in the end," Pires concluded.
