Stafa: We are going to Gostivar motivated, the goal is a positive result

Bashkimi have left their difficult start to the season and a run of five consecutive defeats behind them. The victories over Skopje and BVB Konjare in the Cup, as well as the 3-3 draw with Vardar, have restored confidence in the Kumanovo camp. Today, they face one of the toughest challenges of the season — an 8th-round clash with Tetovo-based Shkëndija, which will be played at a neutral venue in Gostivar.

„The atmosphere against Shkëndija is always unique. We are facing a team with championship ambitions and a quality squad, but we are not raising the white flag. We are entering the match in Gostivar highly motivated to secure a positive result,“ said Andri Stafa.

So far, these two rivals have faced each other 16 times: Shkëndija have recorded 8 victories, Bashkimi have triumphed in 6 matches, while 2 encounters ended without a winner. Interestingly, in their most recent meeting, the Kumanovo side caused a surprise and took all three points in Tetovo, celebrating a 3-2 victory.

The Shkëndija – Bashkimi match will be played today at 16:00 at the stadium in Gostivar, with the game being officiated by referee Fatmir Bafto.
