The duel between Shkëndija Arachinovo and Struga Trim Lum opens the 10th round of the First Macedonian Football League (PMFL). After the draw against Tetovo-based Shkëndija, the home side faces another tough test against a team from the very top of the table.
„First of all, I would like to emphasise that we have great respect for the Struga team. They are a serious, quality and well-organised opponent with quality players who know how to play in matches like this. We are aware that a tough and unpredictable match awaits us, but at the same time we believe in our qualities and in the work we have done over the past period. We prepared for this duel to the maximum throughout the entire week. We trained hard and with discipline, analysed the opponent’s game in detail, as well as their strengths and the space we can exploit. The atmosphere in the team is excellent; all the players are motivated and ready to give their maximum on the pitch,“ said Martin Todorov.
The Arachinovo midfielder believes that Shkëndija can achieve a positive result if they fully implement the instructions from the coaching staff.
„For us, the most important thing is our game – to be disciplined, focused and combative from the first to the last minute. I believe that if we fulfil the agreed tasks and implement what we have been preparing in training, we can look forward to a good match and a positive result. We respect our opponent, but we will take to the pitch with great confidence, a desire to compete and a clear goal – to put in a quality performance and achieve a positive result,“ Todorov concluded.
In their only meeting to date in the First League, Struga Trim Lum won 3–0.
The match between Shkëndija Arachinovo and Struga Trim Lum will be played at the stadium in Čair, starting at 12:00, with Vlatko Ilijoski serving as the chief referee on the day.
