The futsal national team opened its campaign in the first round of the World Cup qualifiers with a victory.
In the opening round, the Macedonia national team defeated Bulgaria 4:1. Ivan Krstevski opened the scoring in the second minute, and by the eighth minute we were already leading 2:0 after Berat Ramadani got his name on the scoresheet.
In the 18th minute, we had an opportunity to take an even more convincing lead, but Toni Kirevski failed to convert a penalty.
At the start of the second half, Vladimir Baharov scored Bulgaria's only goal.
In the closing stages of the match, coach Gazmend Hisejini's players found the net twice to secure a convincing victory.
In the 38th minute, goalkeeper Antonio Petrovski made it 3:1, and just around fifty seconds later Ramadani scored again for a final 4:1 triumph.
Our next opponents are Turkey, and if we manage to record a victory, we will certainly secure one of the top two places in the group, which lead to the next stage of the World Cup qualifiers.
The match is scheduled to begin tomorrow at 3:30 p.m.
