Vardar have no option other than to win

If you are leading the top-flight table, and if you have ambitions of becoming champions, and on top of that you have already claimed that title at the halfway point of the season, then every time you take to the pitch it automatically means you must win all three points. That is not an easy burden to carry, especially in the domestic championship.

That is precisely why Vardar, the league leaders, have the task today, as in the previous 24 rounds, of winning—this time in front of their own supporters at the Todor Proeski Arena.

This afternoon at 15:30, they will play the city derby against Makedonija GP in a clash that, on one side, means extending their lead and potentially continuing their march towards the title, while on the other, it means extending their possible top-flight survival.

The match kicks off at 15:30. Following their defeat in the previous round, Vardar must return to winning ways, while the Makedonija GP players will try to cause a sensation and increase their chances of remaining in the elite football division.
