Vardar’s footballers defeated Ovche Pole 5:0 and continue their pursuit of the Macedonia Cup trophy.
The reigning champions took the lead in the 38th minute through Siriki Diabate. Ten minutes into the second half, captain Azer Omeragić made it 2:0, while in the 58th minute Ediz Spahiu scored Vardar’s third goal.
In the 67th minute, Omeragić scored his second goal of the match to make it 4:0, while Boban Nikolov set the final score at 5:0 with his goal in the 86th minute.
Following today’s triumph, Vardar joined Struga Trim Lum, Pelister, Makedonija GP and AP Brera, who secured their places in the round of 16 after yesterday’s Cup appearances.
The remaining participants in the second round will be known after the matches scheduled for the ninth of this month are played, while first-round matches will be played on 24 September, 6 October and 14 October.
