Vardar claimed three valuable points away to Sileks in a difficult match in Kratovo and remained in contention for the top of the table at the end of the autumn season. The three points were secured by Zakarić’s goal in the first minute of the second half.
Both teams created chances in the first half. Sileks were the first to threaten, and they also scored a goal that was rightly disallowed for offside. Šero then had an opportunity, but his shot went just wide.
Vardar then enjoyed a spell of pressure and created three chances in a short period. First, Danev tried a clever shot, but Džekov saved. From the corner, Matić failed to beat Džekov, despite being in an excellent position.
Right at the start of the second half, Vardar produced an excellent move that began in the middle of the pitch. Pireš then set up Omeragić, who delivered a precise assist to Zakarić, and he fired first time into Džekov’s goal.
Sileks’ Bogdanovski then tested Taleski, who made the save. Sileks had another goal disallowed after Mišov was caught offside.
Kratovo’s side had their biggest chance in the 90th minute of the match. Bogdanovski missed an almost impossible opportunity: he was played in at the far post and, despite being unmarked, could only head the ball onto the outside of the net, meaning the Kratovo team failed to earn even a point.
