Shkendija in the second round of the new season in the First MFL has a guest match in Skopje, in Gjorce Petrov of the team of Macedonia G.P. This is the first away match for the champion in the new season, after the first match in the new championship was decided in its favor with a convincing victory over Shkupi 5:1. The Tetovo team enters this match after the defeat and elimination from Qarabag in the 3rd qualifying round in the Champions League, but Shkendija's top scorer, Besart Ibraimi, says that now the team is fully focused on this match and the goal of achieving victory.
"Fatigue is here and it has an impact on our performances. However, we need to be very honest first with ourselves and then with others. We all know that Shkendija has already done something very big and we will be in the group stage in Europe. At the same time, we know that only through the championship is an exit to Europe ensured and for that reason the championship should be respected to the maximum. We have been working on rehabilitation and I believe that we will be in the best version. For us, every match is difficult, because the opponents against us give 200% and because of that we have to be as careful as possible. This is only the second round and it is not that we know the opponent very well, but from the analyses of the coaching staff I think we know what to expect. The most important thing is to go out on the field to play our game and the tasks that will be given to us, with the belief that we will come out with the desired result," said Ibraimi.
The Shkendija striker expects the team to remain united and to continue showing good results in the First MFL.
"I already said that we have written history, although we want to try to secure a place in the Europa League against Ludogorets. However, we will think about those matches when the time comes. Now we are maximally focused on Makedonija G.P. The most important thing is to remain united, so that we have continuity of good performances. That is why the most important match at this moment is the match with Makedonija G.P.", says the goal scorer of the Tetovo club.
