The second round in the First MFL, for the Macedonian team Gjorce Petrov will be the premiere in front of a home audience. In the opening match of the new season, the "lions" had a difficult task on the road in Struga, where they lost 2:0. Today they have the opportunity for a result rehabilitation and winning the first points of the season.
The current champion, Shkendija, is coming to the Gjorce Petrov stadium, a team that opened the new championship with a 5:1 victory against Shkupi.
"The first round is always difficult to play, especially if it means playing away in Struga. A big part of the defeat was also the fact that we were not complete. Slowly but surely we are completing ourselves, foreigners are joining us, we still have a few injuries, but neither one nor the other is a reason for an alibi. We analyzed Shkendija well, we know what kind of opponent we are dealing with. It is no coincidence that they achieved great success in Europe. However, like every team, Shkendija also has weaknesses, and we plan to use them. Makedonija G.P. always plays good and, above all, solid football at home. It will not be easy for any team to play at our stadium. I expect a great fight, maximum from the entire team and, of course, dedication to a positive result," says Jovan Popzlatanov.
