Shkendija was anemic in the first 45 minutes, when players with less playing time this season came onto the field. The guests took advantage of this, and had complete control of the game.
They were the first to threaten, through Sikiru, who tried to surprise Shkendija's goalkeeper with a wonderful attempt, but Guaye intervened successfully. Midway through the first half, Xhezair Avdili sent a real missile from 30 meters, but the ball went wide of the home team's goal.
Shkendija threatened for the first time in the 36th minute through Florent Ramadani, but his shot ended up in the hands of the visiting goalkeeper.
