With two rounds remaining before the curtain falls on the PMFL, Arsimi and Bashkimi go head-to-head in a clash that could be worth survival. The „golden“ points are at stake, and the pressure has reached boiling point.
Hosts Arsimi are in excellent form, having collected 10 points from their last five matches, but Bashkimi showed after their triumph over Shkëndija that they know how to deal with the favourites. The Kumanovo side are coming to Gostivar with one goal – definitive survival in the top-flight company.
„This is a very important match for both teams. Arsimi are looking for points to escape the relegation play-off zone, while Bashkimi want to finish the season without worries. We are teams that respect each other, but during those 90 minutes everyone will fight for the ‘golden’ three points,“ said Redžep Murati.
According to him, the pressure is on the hosts, which could be an advantage for the Kumanovo side.
„I hope we will return from Gostivar with a victory and successfully seal our first season in the First Macedonian Football League (PMFL). I believe the pressure on the hosts will be our advantage,“ Murati added, among other things.
In the 10 previous meetings between these two teams, Arsimi have recorded five wins, two matches have ended in draws, while Bashkimi have triumphed three times.
The 31st-round match between Arsimi and Bashkimi will be played at the stadium in Gostivar, kicking off at 16:00.
