The Macedonian A national team has begun preparations for the upcoming matches, including friendly matches against Saudi Arabia (September 4, Prague) and Liechtenstein (September 7, Skopje) in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Due to injury, Dimitar Mitrovski will not be part of the September matches. The Olimpija Ljubljana midfielder will miss the matches due to a hamstring injury sustained in the warm-up before last night's Slovenian championship match. Elif Elmas and Darko Čurlinov were absent from the first training session, both of whom will be available to coach Milevski tomorrow.
Bojan Miovski, who just two days ago completed his big transfer to Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers, shared his expectations from the new page in his club career, as well as his expectations from the matches with the national team.
"When the offer from Rangers came, I didn't hesitate, the coach gave me extra support and I'm happy about that. I made my debut against Celtic, it was the first time I felt that atmosphere, we know what the rivalry between the two teams is like. In Girona, not everything was great, we had a bad season, collectively and individually. I was simply there at the wrong time and I had to make a decision about my future. I returned to the Scottish league where I had previously played in Aberdeen, but now at a much bigger, historic club."
"We have a positive form in the national team, I hope we will continue that good rhythm in the upcoming matches. We need to prepare well for Saudi Arabia, which is a very serious national team, and then focus as much as possible on Liechtenstein. Today there are no weak teams and pre-won matches."
