The Shkendija team from Arachinovo will begin its debut adventure in the First Macedonian Football League in Struga on Saturday.
„I am happy to be part of this historic match for the club from my birthplace. This will be our first game in the First League and, without a doubt, it will bring a mixture of emotions, pride, but at the same time also great responsibility,“ Besir Demiri said at the outset.
The defender believes that the team from Arachinovo had quality preparations for the upcoming season.
„The team worked exceptionally well during the preparatory phase under the guidance of coach Berat Imeri. We also made some significant additions, which I believe will further raise the quality of the team,“ Demiri stressed.
On Saturday, as part of the opening round, Shkendija from Arachinovo will visit Struga Trim Lum.
„Fate wanted our first match to be precisely against a club like Struga – a stable team that has been at the very top of domestic football for years. However, we are Shkendija and we are not travelling to Struga as tourists. We are going there to play football, give our maximum and, after an intensive preparatory period, show ourselves in the best possible light on the pitch and see the results of our work,“ Besir Demiri concluded.
The match between Struga Trim Lum and Shkendija Arachinovo will be played at the City Stadium in Struga, starting at 17:00.
