As the championship enters its final stage, Shkëndija have a chance to defend their PMFL title. They are level on points with Vardar, and now enter the final nine rounds with an opportunity to climb back to the championship throne. To achieve that, they will have to win their matches against all opponents, especially those from the bottom half of the table, who could prove decisive in the end.
Shkëndija have a „home assignment“ ahead of them and a duel against Pelister. The Bitola side arrive in Tetovo with a new coach and ambitions of securing survival, given that they are in the relegation zone and need points. Having learned from the previous match, when they fell behind and then had to fight back with a comeback, Shkëndija will not underestimate their opponents this time and will enter the battle with the Bitola top-flight side fully focused.
„The atmosphere in the team is positive and we are fully focused. We have to be very careful because these matches after the international break can be difficult and dangerous. We have been together for only two days, but we are going 100% focused on winning the three points. We have also learned lessons from the last meeting between the teams, when things did not go as they should, we were losing, and then had to make a comeback. I hope there will be no such uncertainty this time and that we will achieve victory,“ said Shkëndija defender and new Macedonia international Imran Fetai.
