The Macedonian U-21 national team played to a goalless draw against a quality Kosovo team in the first friendly match played between these two teams at the Fadil Vokri Stadium in Pristina.
The match was tight throughout the 90 minutes, with plenty of fighting, running and tactical outsmarting. Both teams had their good moments in this match, missing several solid scoring opportunities.
Dimitar Trajkov had a great opportunity in the 36th minute, but his header was inaccurate. Memetriza Hamza threatened Kosovo's goal in the 44th minute with a long-range shot, but the home goalkeeper was up to the task and intervened well.
In the second half, Dimitar Trajkov had the best chance for Macedonia in the 62nd minute. Adrian Zendelovski had a good chance in the 80th minute, but his shot was blocked by the opposing defense. In the 82nd minute, Anes Meliqi also threatened Kosovo's goal with a header, but was inaccurate.
