In Memoriam: Macedonian football legend Vasil Ringov passed away

Macedonian football has lost one of the best footballers in history, Vasil Ringov passed away at the age of 70 after a short illness.

He spent most of his career in the Vardar jersey, where he scored 60 goals in 154 matches between 1977 and 1983. Ringov played for the "red and black" jersey from 1983 to 1986, when he scored 23 goals in 56 appearances.

Ringov was born in Strumica in 1955, and took his first football steps in Belasica, for which he played from 1973 to 1975.

He then left for Partizan, where he made two appearances in two seasons, after which he returned to Macedonia and wore the jersey of Teteks, for which he played from 1975 to 1977, scoring 16 goals in 45 matches.

After a brilliant career in Vardar, Ringov left for Dinamo Zagreb, and after two years at Maksimir, he moved to Eintracht Braunschweig.

Vasil Ringov ends his career in the Vardar jersey, with which he wins the championship title.

After finishing his career, Ringov passed on his football knowledge to the players who were part of the youth categories.
