Baškimi are in search of their first victory of the new season in the First Football League of Macedonia. In Round 5, Baškimi will host Škendija from Aračinovo, a team that have so far collected 4 points (one win and one draw) in the domestic top flight.
The hosts enter this match with a clear objective: to put an end to their disastrous start to the season, in which they have still not scored a single goal while conceding as many as 15.
„An extremely important match against Škendija Aračinovo awaits us. After the poor start, we hope to return to winning ways and make our fans happy,“ said Bilal Iseni.
Baškimi’s players are aware that they face a serious challenge.
„We are playing against an exceptionally well-organised opponent, so a difficult duel lies ahead of us. Nevertheless, we believe that we can claim our first three points, end the losing streak and make our supporters happy,“ Iseni added.
In the only meeting between the teams to date, played in a friendly match on 25 January last year, victory went to Škendija by a score of 2-0.
The match between Bashkimi and Shkendija Aracinovo will be played at the stadium in Kumanovo, kicking off at 16:30, with Stojanche Trpchevski appointed as the referee.
