The only Macedonian representative in the main round of the Conference League, Shkendija recorded its first victory in its first appearance on home soil.
Tetovo defeated Shelburne 1:0 tonight at the Todor Proeski Arena, and this is the first triumph of a Macedonian team in this phase of European club competitions.
The match in Skopje was decided in the first minute of stoppage time when, after Webster's throw-in, Patrick Barrett hit his own net.

The first half did not bring much excitement. Although it was expected after an offensive start by the Tetovo team, the match started cautiously, with many duels and interruptions in the middle of the field. Both teams tried to shoot from a distance, but without any real threat. The best chance was for Tamba, who in the 27th minute shot strongly from about twenty meters, but the ball went slightly over the bar.
In the second half, coach Jeton Beqiri brought new energy into the game, Ramadani and Spahiu came on to revive the midfield, which was immediately felt on the pitch. Shkendija pressed, Spahiu threatened from distance in the 52nd minute, and a little later Krasniqi also had a nice opportunity, but without realization.

The Irish team did not give up easily, first Wood tried, and then captain Coyle hit the post of Gaye's goal in the 66th minute, which was the biggest chance for the guests.
In the 70th minute, Tamba was again in the spotlight – after a quick counterattack, he went out alone in front of the goalkeeper, but shot over the goal.
After the first triumph in the Conference League, the next challenge for coach Jeton Beqiri's team will be facing Jagiellonia, which is scheduled for the sixth of next month, in which Shkendija is the host again, and the start is scheduled for 9 p.m.
