The Macedonian national team have begun preparations for the upcoming friendly match against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The footballers, led by Goce Sedloski, held their first training session.
Our internationals stress that, even though it is a friendly match, the approach and motivation remain at the highest level when wearing the Macedonia shirt.
„When we come to the Macedonia national team, there are no friendly matches. We are here to give our maximum and show that we deserve to wear the Macedonian shirt,“ said Macedonian international Jani Atanasov.
The Larissa midfielder says that the new names in the team also have the quality and potential to contribute to the selection’s future successes.
„I believe that the coach has selected the right footballers. A few years ago, we also arrived as new players, gave everything we had, and I hope that together we will all continue pushing towards great success,“ he added.
Macedonia will face the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, which has enjoyed a successful qualifying campaign and secured a place at the World Cup.
„Bosnia and Herzegovina showed quality and had an excellent qualifying campaign. They are a strong, quality national team, but we are going there to compete and prepare for victory,” Atanasov said.
