Limani: It is time for stability, the three points will stay with Bashkimi in Kumanovo

After the international break and the excitement of the 2026 World Cup play-offs, the PMFL returns to the stage. The 25th-round programme opens with a real derby in Kumanovo, where Bashkimi and the in-form Tikvesh will go head to head.

The hosts enter this clash after a victory over Shkupi (3-2). That comeback victory not only brought three points, but also gave a huge boost to the Bashkimi squad, which is now determined to confirm its elite status and finally move away from the relegation zone towards a safe mid-table position.

On the other hand, Tikvesh are currently one of the most difficult teams in the league to face. With four wins in their last five matches, the visitors from Kavadarci are in terrific form and are coming for points. For both teams, this match is a matter of „do or die“ for stability in the closing stages of the season.

Midfield lynchpin Bejzad Limani is optimistic ahead of today's challenge.

„This is a crucial moment for us. The break came at exactly the right time for us to recharge our batteries. I am proud to wear this shirt and fight for my city. With the support of our loyal ‘Illyrians’ in the stands, I believe we will break Tikvesh's resistance and win the three points for a peaceful night's sleep in mid-table,“ Limani stressed.

Tradition is on Kumanovo's side. In the previous meetings between these two teams (in the league, the Cup of Macedonia or friendly matches), Bashkimi have historically been more successful, with five wins compared to Tikvesh's two.

The match between Bashkimi and Tikvesh will be played at the City Stadium in Kumanovo, starting at 12:30.
