The Macedonian U-16 national team was defeated 2:0 by the corresponding Serbian team, which is hosting the international Milan Milanic control tournament, within the first round.
The team of coach Dragan Nacevski, despite the defeat by the favorite Serbia, played a good match, in which they missed several excellent opportunities to score a goal. Macedonia had the best opportunity through Fadil Islamović towards the end of the first half. The opponent opened the match well and took an early 1:0 lead in the 6th minute. The second goal, the Serbian national team scored in the 51st minute of the match.
