Macedonia G.P. defeated Rabotnicki 2:1 in today’s match from the 29th round of the First MFL. The „Lions“ claimed three very important points and remain in the race for survival in the top flight.
Macedonia G.P. took the lead after their first dangerous attack in the second minute. Following a cross, Kabarkas scored with a header and found the back of Rabotnicki’s net. In the 14th minute, Suhel Muharem had an excellent chance to equalize, but his shot was inaccurate. Lazarevikj hit the crossbar of Rabotnicki’s goal from a corner in the 22nd minute.
A minute later, Sofijanoski also hit the post with a header. Chances continued to come at both ends until the 63rd minute, when Dzhandarovski, after an excellent solo run, managed to score a second goal for Macedonia G.P.
Five minutes later, Suhel Muharem managed to reduce the deficit to 2-1 with a precise close-range shot. Manojlov had a chance to equalize in the 78th minute, but failed to do so.
Macedonia G.P. remain second from bottom, but now have 27 points, just one point fewer than Rabotnicki and two fewer than Pelister, who are the first team above the line for a place in the playoff. There are still four rounds to go, and in the next round the team from Gjorche will visit relegated Shkupi, while Rabotnicki face a direct clash with Pelister.
