Macedonia turns the tables on Austria

The Macedonian futsal national team opened the friendly matches against the Austrian national team, which are being played at the 26 April Hall in Gevgelija, with a victory.

Coach Gazmend Hysejini's team, despite their opponent's 3:0 lead, eventually managed to turn the game around and triumph 5:3.

In the 4th minute, the guests took the lead 1:0 through Abdul Jazici, and the same player in the 12th gave Austria a 2:0 lead. The third goal for our opponent was scored in the 14th minute, and the scorer was Vahid Muharemovic.

At the end of the first half, Sedat Ziberi reduced the score to 3:1, and after two minutes of play in the second half, Taulant Ismaili announced the turnaround for the Macedonian national team.

In the 28th minute, Ivan Krstevski tied the score, while Toni Kirevski's goal in the 31st minute gave Macedonia a 4:3 lead.

In the final minutes, the Austrians were trying at all costs to equalize and in the last minutes they played without a goalkeeper. Our goalkeeper Antonio Petrevski took advantage of this and in the 38th minute scored the fifth goal for Macedonia, confirming the triumph in this duel.

The second control match will be played tomorrow also at the 26 April Hall in Gevgelija, starting at 6 pm.
