Shkendija achieved an important victory in the first match of the spring season, after defeating Struga TL at home in Tetovo, and returned to the game to defend its title. The Tetovo team only "broke" the guests' resistance in the final minutes, and managed to inflict their first away defeat of the season, announcing serious competition for the PMFL trophy.
After the first half of the derby there were no goals, and the main "culprit" for that was Struga TL goalkeeper Angeletti, who saved an incredible chance from Besart Ibraimi at the finish. There was no excitement until the end of the first half, when first Tamba's shot was blocked in a corner. From the corner kick, Ibraimi hit the target with his head, but Angeletti made a fantastic save in a corner. Again from the corner kick, another chance, this time Maliqi's attempt with his head ended just centimeters short of the right post.
Angeletti had work to do at the start of the second half after Shkendija was determined to go for a goal. In the 73rd minute, Maliqi had another chance, but his header was imprecise again, the ball going over the goal.
In the 78th minute, the first goal of the match. Ibraimi led an attack for Shkendija, shot from 25 meters, Angeletti deflected it to Trumci who passed it to the lone Spahiu, who from only 3-4 meters drove it into the empty net.
Ten minutes later, Shkendija settled the question of the winner with a second goal. Spahiu, the hero of this match, broke through after a counterattack, from the right side assisting Shkendija's new signing, Ndzengue, who managed to increase the score to 2:0, which was the final goal of the derby.
