Manev: We are ready to give our maximum; there will be no complacency at Shkëndija

With a perfect record of five wins from as many matches at the start of the new season, the atmosphere in the Tetovo-based Shkendija camp is at an all-time high. Central defender Jovan Manev confirmed that the team is fully focused on extending its winning streak.

„Good results are the goal of every footballer, but they neither deceive us nor make us satisfied – there is still a lot of work ahead of us. There is no complacency among us, because we want to be even better than what we have shown so far,“ the 25-year-old defender stressed.

Shkendija approach every opponent with the same aim: to win all three points.

„We go into every match with 100% focus. Although Tikvesh are an exceptionally strong opponent and every match carries its own weight, I am convinced that we will all give our maximum to achieve another positive result,“ Manev concluded.

Rafael Freitas and left-back Bojan Dimoski remain unavailable due to injuries, while Endrit Krasniqi and Marko Gjorgjievski return to the squad. Goalkeeper Bubacar Gaye has also returned to training, but a decision on his involvement will be made immediately before the match.

This will be the 22nd meeting between these two teams, with the „red-and-blacks“ recording 15 wins, Tikvesh having celebrated victory just once, while five encounters have ended in draws.

The Shkendija Tetovo–Tikvesh match will be played at the stadium in the FFM complex, kicking off at 19:00, with Benjamin Qerimi appointed as referee.
