The Macedonian national team played a friendly match with Saudi Arabia in Prague and lost 1:2. Our national team took the lead with a fantastic goal with scissors by Aleksandar Trajkovski in the 40th minute, but Saudi Arabia equalized before the break with a goal by Al Brikan. The winning goal was scored by Abdullah Al Hamdan in the 78th minute.
Coach Blagoja Milevski immediately after the match gave an analysis of the friendly match.
"There are many moments that I am pleased with, especially because we experimented with the lineup. We gained two more players who will strengthen the competition in the team. I have already emphasized that the match with Liechtenstein is of great importance for us, and everything else serves as preparation. We played a quality match against a strong opponent and I am truly pleased to work with such players. Everyone is adapting to the new formation and tasks. We will be maximally motivated against Liechtenstein, as we are in every match," said coach Milevski.
Our national team now awaits a qualifying match against Liechtenstein on Sunday (6 p.m.) at the Todor Proeski Arena in Skopje, in the fifth round of World Cup qualifiers.
