Pelister managed to win away to Shkendija in Tetovo, thereby taking a huge step towards securing their First League survival. For the Tetovo team, meanwhile, this was a major „slip-up“ in the battle for the title this season.
The home players were the first to threaten through Ibraimi in the 9th minute, when he shot just wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Krasniqi scored, but the goal was disallowed for a clear offside.
In the 36th minute, Pelister managed to take the lead. The ball „walked“ through Shkendija’s penalty area, before Bulatović eventually assisted Spirovski from the penalty spot, and he beat Gaye with his first touch to give the visitors the lead.
However, before the end of the first half, Shkendija cancelled out the deficit. Zejnulai started an attack through the middle and passed to Ibraimi, who shot precisely from the left side into the bottom-left corner of Pelister’s goal.
In the second half, Shkendija had more of the play and the chances. Tamba had two excellent opportunities, but Jovčevski saved both times. Ibraimi then had two attempts near the very end, first shooting over the bar from 4–5 metres, and then, after a deflected ball, his shot also ended up over the crossbar.
Pelister punished all of that in the 92nd minute of the match. Kerim received the ball in the penalty area and, from an angle on the right, beat Gaye with a precise shot to put Pelister ahead and secure a major victory for the team from Bitola.
