Vardar’s youth team are the new winners of the Macedonian Cup after securing a convincing 3–0 victory over Makedonija GP in the final.
„The “Red and Blacks” took the lead in the 15th minute through Matej Nikolov, who capped his team’s good performance in the first half. Although the score remained unchanged for a long time, the final offered interesting and dynamic football, with several excellent chances at both ends.
In the final 15 minutes, Makedonija GP took the initiative and tried to find an equaliser, but Vardar knew how to respond. Precisely when their opponents were applying pressure, Vardar were at their most dangerous on the counterattack.
In the closing stages of the match, Adrian Veleski increased the lead to 2–0 in the 90th minute, while Luka Jasmin Gjorgjiev made it 3–0 in the fourth minute of stoppage time, putting the finishing touch on Vardar’s triumph.
With this victory, Vardar’s youth team thoroughly deserved to lift the Macedonian Cup trophy, capping a successful season.
