Sedloski ahead of Bosnia and Herzegovina: We are entering the match highly motivated

Macedonia will play a friendly match against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo tomorrow, while head coach Goce Sedloski will rely on a significantly changed line-up and several new names in the team for this encounter. At the official press conference, our head coach noted that it is important to leave a positive impression tomorrow at the „Asim Ferhatović-Hase“ Stadium.

„We want to prove ourselves both as a team and in terms of the result. The most important thing is to take to the pitch and play to the best of our ability. We will give our maximum, and may the better team win. We are focused on our game and on how we will play these 90 minutes, but Bosnia will certainly also be motivated to show themselves in a good light in front of their fans.

I wish Bosnia and Herzegovina success at the World Cup. They deserve congratulations; they eliminated Italy, just as we did in the previous play-off. But new challenges now lie ahead, and we must constantly prove ourselves.

For us, there are no friendly matches. We always take to the pitch wanting to present ourselves in the best possible light and win. I want us to prepare in the best possible way for the Nations League. I hope we will be more effective in attack.

We are playing against strong national teams such as Bosnia and Herzegovina and Türkiye. We will try to score goals, but a lot will also depend on the opponent. We must be compact. The players are ready, and I am satisfied with how we have worked over the past few days.

The new footballers have brought freshness to the team, and they have also been well received by the other internationals. I called up several new players, and they will all get a chance to prove themselves. Some of them will also start tomorrow’s match.

Elezi played well in Sarajevo and deservedly earned his place on the list. We have two matches, and he will certainly get playing time. He is not the only new addition compared with the March international window. We called up players from both the domestic league and foreign leagues. I believe they have the quality for the national team.

I have several options to replace the injured Bardhi, and I will make the final decision after today’s training session,“ said Sedloski.
