The Macedonia national team will play a friendly match against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo tomorrow, and ahead of the clash with the hosts, goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski spoke at a press conference.
The experienced goalkeeper stressed that the atmosphere in the national team is excellent despite the changes to the squad compared with previous gatherings.
„Until the previous match, every appearance of mine at a press conference meant a „clean sheet“. I hope we return to that. We are now preparing for Bosnia and Herzegovina and want to play a quality match in both directions.
I have been in good form for quite some time and feel excellent. I think I am entering the best days of my career. For us goalkeepers, that comes a little later, but I hope I will continue at the same pace and help Macedonia and the coach’s ideas.
We will see how the match develops. We worked on all aspects of the game, prepared well and conducted a quality analysis. We hope to exert greater pressure in the opponents’ half.
The upcoming Nations League matches are the most important for us, while Bosnia are a team that, in terms of style, closely resemble the national teams we will face in the coming period.
The new footballers have potential. They need to gradually fit into the team, and we more experienced players welcomed them well. They need to continue working, fighting and earning the opportunity to play for Macedonia in the next cycle as well,“ said Dimitrievski.
