Pelister take on one of the most difficult opponents of the last decade, Makedonija GP, with their last victory over today's opponents dating back to the 2016/17 season and having been secured at home.
This will be their third meeting this year, with the home side winning 2:1 in Gjorche, while the match in Bitola ended in a 1:1 draw. With 26 points, Pelister are one place above Makedonija GP in the table today, but the gap is only one point.
Ahead of this match, the Bitola side visited Arsimi in Gostivar, where they suffered a narrow defeat in an exceptionally evenly contested match.
“Some mistakes we have spoken about many times and are trying to overcome through different solutions were repeated against Arsimi: we conceded a goal at the end of the half and allowed the opponent to punish a mistake of ours in defence. I would not be wrong to say once again that discipline in our play is the only solution in such situations,” the coach reflected on the previous match against Arsimi.
Announcing the next opponent, the head of the Bitola side's coaching staff reiterated the stance which, in short, means „respect everyone, the points for Pelister“.
“A team that is a direct rival in the battle for a better place in the table is coming to Bitola. Their team is a strong blend of youth and experience, complemented by internationals who have the quality to make a difference. Their form in recent matches shows that they are not an easy opponent and that even big favourites have managed only narrow victories against them. The match will carry a great psychological burden for everyone, so I am pleased that two players who missed the previous match due to yellow-card suspensions are returning to the team,” Sekulovski concluded.
The match will kick off at 15:00 at the „Petar Miloshevski“ Stadium in Bitola.
