Sileks earn three points against Bashkimi from the penalty spot

Sileks extended their winning streak in the PMFL, recording their third consecutive victory. Bashkimi were beaten 1-0 in Kratovo today. The hard-fought victory for the Kratovo side was secured in the second half with a goal from the penalty spot, although it should be noted that Sileks had much more of the play and many more chances, ultimately managing to claim the desired points from a penalty.

Although the first half ended goalless, there were plenty of chances, particularly for Sileks, who threatened mainly through Dodev but could not find the back of the net.

Dodev had his first chance in the sixth minute, when he sent a dangerous ball directly at goal from a corner, but Yashar made the save. The same player shot from the left in the 24th minute, but narrowly wide. Aliq had an opportunity in the 34th minute, but missed a great chance after a pass from Timovski.

Bashkimi also came to life towards the end of the first half. Ribeiro had two chances, but his attempts were saved by Dzekov.

In the 43rd minute, Dodev passed to Aliq, who shot just wide, while the final chance of the first half fell to Mirchevski, whose effort was blocked before the ball went just wide of the goal.

Sileks continued to take the initiative in the second half. In the 49th minute, following Timovski's cross, Travali almost scored an own goal, forcing Yashar to intervene and concede a corner. The home side had another chance in the 54th minute, when Pires headed just over the bar from a corner.

Sileks could have taken the lead in the 63rd minute after a double chance. First, Mishov tried following an assist from Eftimov, but Yashar made the save. In the same move, Angjeleski fired from 25 metres, but the ball rattled the crossbar.

In the 66th minute, Sileks had a chance as Aliq raced through on goal, while Lichina tackled from behind and was shown a red card, giving the Kratovo side a chance to take the lead from the penalty spot. Following the VAR checks, the penalty and red card were confirmed, and in the 68th minute Dodev converted from the spot to finally put Sileks ahead.

Sileks also pushed for a second goal, and in the 78th minute, after a lengthy attack, Eftimov fired inaccurately and well over the goal. That was the final chance of the match, which the home side won, continuing their battle for third place in the table.
