As time goes by and the end of the championship approaches, the battle for the title, as well as the fight for survival, is becoming increasingly intense and uncertain. There are only a few matches left, and those that remain must be won.
League leaders Vardar are no longer in a position to drop points. The „Red and Blacks“ have already done so this spring; the advantage they had over Shkendija has melted away and is now just one point. That is why coach Goce Sedloski’s men have an imperative to win every time they take to the field.
Today, they will do so at home at the Todor Proeski Arena in Skopje, where they will host Tikvesh from 16:00. A motivated and thoroughly solid opponent this spring, who are coming to Skopje to „spoil“ their opponents’ plans. Whether they will succeed remains to be seen, but as has been the case in the past, Vardar do not depend too much on their opponent, but rather on their own performance. If the leaders are at the required level, few teams can match them.
In the last two matches played between these two rivals, Vardar won 3:1 at the Arena, and previously also won 1:2 in Kavadarci. The last time Tikvesh had a positive result was on 13.04.2025, when they drew 2:2 in Skopje. Zakarić and Senhor scored for Vardar, while Sadik and Mishov found the net for Tikvesh.
Ahead of this match, Vardar are top of the table with 68 points, while Tikvesh are fifth with 40.
