Heavy defeat for the Under-16 players in the match against Turkey

The U16 national team suffered its second defeat at the development tournament held in Strumica under the auspices of UEFA.

This time, head coach Iljami Isejni's side were defeated 4-0 by Turkey.

The visitors took the lead in the 11th minute after the ball ended up in our goal following a poor intervention by Mitko Stojanov and a weak reaction from goalkeeper Iljan Memeti.

Six minutes later, Idvan Harman made it 2-0, and in the 29th minute the same player scored to give Turkey a 3-0 lead.

Towards the end of the first half, Macedonia had a chance to score its first goal, but Dardan Ademi's shot went wide of the post.

In the second half, we failed to convert two chances in just over sixty seconds.

In the 57th minute, Stefan Ristiq ran through on goal towards Turkey's net, but after failing to lob the opposing goalkeeper, he was then stopped by the visiting defenders in his attempt to get on the scoresheet.

In the next attack, Veleski unleashed an outstanding shot from the edge of the penalty area, but the Turkish goalkeeper reacted brilliantly and prevented the ball from ending up in the net.

After the two missed chances, another goal followed at the other end. In the 67th minute, Berat Kadir Yavuz scored Turkey's fourth goal.

Until the end of the match, Macedonia had another chance to score its consolation and only goal of the tournament, but Ristiq's shot went wide.

In the other match of the final round of the development tournament in Strumica, Uzbekistan defeated Northern Ireland 3-2.
